Sahara Restaurant in Charleston

Love the buffet and selection... my favorites are the Eggplant, lamb, citrus chicken, curry chicken, roasted vegetables, sumac chicken, homemade hummus (sometimes red pepper humus), greek salad with or without onions and cheese, tabouli, homemade salad dressing and hot sauce, salad bar, and... falafel!!! it is all amazing!

The food is amazingly great, the owner I forgot her name but is a wonderful and very friendly lady, all their food is home. made and prepd, no box foods or crap! Fresh and home made, down to the sauce, I wish it was not in the city and I culd get to it more often. It's made my hole stay here worth while. Hard to find good food, locally owned, and so much pride and love put into their product. Shuld have 10 stars!

Nice, locally owned Mediterranean restaurant. Great for a lunch buffet. Not a large selection of dishes, but what's there is really good.

Solid lunch buffet that is quick and always hits the spot. I'm not a big fan of eating on styrofoam plates and solo cups though. At least my plate didnt break once I had my food loaded up. Unfortunately if you dont get there right at noon, they often dont replenish certain items... today was the salad.

The food is delicious, but get there early as in before 12 pm otherwise you will miss out on the good stuff! Once it is gone it is not replenished.

Local spot for a good hearty buffet of Mediterranean food. My only gripe is the Styrofoam plates, which I detest.

We've had several meeting catered by Sahara and the food has been wonderful and fresh every time. Everything is very well cooked and seasoned. The hummus and the flat bread are to die for!

The food here is absolutely delicious! A little pricey but worth it. The lady that runs it is the nicest person. I recommend it to anyone!

Waited for 45 minutes for food to be put on the buffet, all I was able to get was half a plate of food because of this, still got charged almost $11!! The lady said “you could have eaten rice” (white rice was the only thing on the buffet at the time)The food is delicious, but you need to have over an hour of wait time just to get it.

Delicious and friendly too

Mediterranean halal buffet. Food quality is always great. The owner manages the shop himself. Food variety is almost always the same but always fresh. Timings are a little odd though.

The chicken drumsticks were falling off the bone tender and all the dishes i tried on the lunch buffet were good. The styrofoam plates don't do the food justice.

very low quality food. Not a variety of food options. Very overpriced. The place is not in a decent shape and they serve in disposables. There is just one lady working here as servant, cashier, ... who is very nice but needs help!The buffet runs out quickly and it takes a while to fill the pans.

Absolutely terrible, the food was all canned , dried out or undercooked. Please please take your money, your time and your taste buds somewhere else.the dolma ( grapeleaves ) were eother canned or cooked beyone recognition. While they apear to looktasty the rice is rendered down to a paste in the inside-pretty gross.

Lamb Chops are great here and the buffet is reasonable for the price !

Food is fresh and authentic middle Eastwith variety. Staff is friendly.

Some of the best food in Charleston. They are closed for renovations in early 2018 but will reopen. Home made baba ganoush, hummus, incredible eggplant, chicken and meat dishes and wonderfully friendly staff. I can't wait for them to reopen and could not recommend a place more highly for lunch in the Charleston area.
